BaiLi KongCheng AKA KongCheng is a mysterious character appears in the series. His background remained a mystery as he enrolled in the Xuan Ji Sect, and became a student of the Sword Summit Sect.
During his encounter with Feng Lian Wan at the Red Flames Cave, he starts to take an interest in her as he knows a lot of her "secrets". Every time they meet each other, they always end up in an argument but still their relationship is very good.
In Chapter 97, Xiao Wan was shocked to see KongCheng was one of Sang Ran's allies so she jumps off from the cliff to the Purgatory Canyon. He wants to save her but was stopped by his men and taken back to his homeland, Cang Qi Continent.

Personality[]
Koncheng Baili had a good personality. He seemed to be quite cunning outside but he wasn't so scheming inside. Koncheng Baili was tricked to work under Sang Ran. He formed an alley with Sang Ran to betray Feng Lianwan as Sang Ran had captured his clansmen. This wasn't a wise action as it almost made Lianwan lose her life.
Summary[]
Baili Kongcheng is one of the person who betrayed Xiaowan not because of personal interest but because he was threatened. Sang Ran used his people as hostage so he can't do anything but surrender. After Sang Ran got the Five Reincarmation mirror, he planned to take her to Cangqi Mainland and heal her. But Xiaowan refused him jumping of the cliff. Kongcheng originally planned to jumped after her but his guards prevent him to do so, taking him back to Cangqi without knowing if Xiaowan was still alive or not.
He is said to be a mysterious character but his background has been revealead on the latest chapter of the series. His family is one of the top sects in Cangqi Continent and his level is already at the Peak of Golden orb. Being hunted by the guilt he have for Xiaowan, he failed to make breakthrough to yuanying due to the failure of the heart demon.
Xiaowan who won the competition and her being a fifth grade alchemist spread even for the Cangqi Continent so when he heard that Xiaowan is still alive and was coming to his Mainland, he disguised himself as an inspector being together with Xiaowan in the ship. He said he doesn't dare to face her with his original appearance so he can only disguised himself. This might be cowardice but it is understandable as Xiaowan is still mad at him for betraying her so it might be a right choice. He personally approached Xiaowan in his disguised and talked to her normally. Even so, her attitude is still cold and that made Kongcheng sad, after all, he is only a stranger to her now. At the appearance of the Mermaids, He also learned Yan Moge and figured that someone else has been accompanying her in his absent made him more sad.
Then, he jumped into the sea after he thought that Xiaowan was tempted by the King of Mermaids, so he followed her.
